OYO Parent PRISM Reshuffles Global Leadership to Drive Next Phase of Growth

-

In a significant step to enhance its global operations, OYO’s parent company, PRISM, has announced a change in the leadership team. The changes reflect the priority Proposition PRISM places on building regional leadership, enhancing execution and moving quickly to expand globally within its diverse travel and hospitality portfolio of brands.

PRISM’s Global Leadership Reshuffle

At the centre of this structural realignment is Ankit Tandon, who has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) for PRISM & CEO- Europe. He will be responsible for the overall global business of PRISM, which includes brands like Belvilla, DanCenter and Sunday Hotels. Tandon was earlier working as CEO – OYO Vacation Homes (OVH). Outside the Asia-Pacific, his extra responsibility encompasses the company’s operations in Europe and the United States, which includes G6 Hospitality parent company of Motel 6 and Studio 6. Importantly, he will also manage PRISM’s rapidly expanding vacation homes offering; the latter has welcomed CheckMyGuest (France) and MadeComfy (Australia) to its stable of brands in recent months.

New Regional Leadership Roles

Backing this structure, Varun Jain, previously the COO for India, has now been named as the COO for Asia. He now heads India, Southeast Asia and the Middle East (SEAME). In addition to operations in India, Jain will manage PRISM’s listings business, Traum Ferienwohnungen, which is based in Germany; as well as Innov8 and Weddingz appointment demonstrates PRISM’s long-term commitment to diversifying its businesses across hospitality and workspaces.

Oyo Focusing on Execution & Customer Experience

Additionally, Shreerang Godbole remains Chief Service Officer with a continued focus on global customer experience and operations as part of the reorganisation. He will also take up the reins of BedBank and DanCenter operations, MadeComfy’s integration in Australia, as well as work closely with Tandon on PRISM’s US property company (PropCo) activities. Meanwhile, Shirish Damani has been appointed COO, Europe Homes & Hotels, where he will help lead expansion and supply and revenue growth across the European markets.

This reshuffle comes after the departure of former director Gautam Swaroop, who headed up PRISM International for five years and was integral in driving its expansion into the US, UK and Latin America. “These young leaders hired and trained by us for many years, with the sole mission of serving customers better through a combination of products while ensuring that their economics are stronger than the best in the world, will play a key role,” added Ritesh Agarwal on leadership transition.

With a presence in over 35 countries, PRISM’s new leadership team represents a key turning point in its evolution, one that aligns the business for continued global expansion, organisational effectiveness and renewed customer-centric innovation.

Through these steps, Oyo will improve operations, customer experience, and brand performance worldwide.
